mazy is okay, she is fighting an infection though. our lawyer came back to the hotel this morning and took mazy and i to the hospital. the doctor said she is running a high fever due to the onset of a bacterial infection [stomach]. she has gone through alot in the past 20 hours.
ma has been a big help through it all, she has plenty of wisdom and experience to keep me calm through it all. we are taking turns holding her, administering her medicines and trying to keep her calm and hydrated. this should run its course in 48 hours...
to top it off i can't get cellular phone connection the entire city has experienced a glut of calls as part of a marketing campaign of free calls on fathers day...

Good to hear you're hanging in there. Mia & Laurie were here for dinner and she echoed your thoughts that it's a good thing Ma is there with you to help out. Hang in there... Tuesday will be here before we know it. (This won't delay travel plans, will it?)
i'm just trying not to be in the way. Dennis is a great and very very patient Dad. He's doing all the bathing, bottle making etc. Too bad little Mazy got sick. We were having so much fun playing. She has such a great giggle and laugh. We'll be on that plane on Tuesday come Hell or high water!
that comment was mom's first work on the computer... i have a photo of her, maybe we should get her a laptop and wireless for her birthday.
You are both doing an amazing job! I can't imagine being in a hotel room in a foreign country to top it off. Dennis you really are the best. All your girls are very lucky to have you.
Laurie

happy father's day dennis.
i'm glad to hear maz is feeling better. thanks for keeping us posted.
i'm so glad your mom is down there with you. say hello from me & ask her if she will be adding guatemala to the list for her sorority girl weekends. :)
We are glad to hear that Ms. Maz is doing better. Of course we know she is in very good hands. She has a wonderful Daddy and an awesome Ma to take care of her! (Mazzy, isn't Ma the best? As her grand daughter I sure think so... I am sure you will too!)
Much love and we can't wait for the days when Mia, Mazzy and Maddy can play together!

Dennis, I guess Father's Day by fire is one way to spend it! I hope not too many more that way, though!
Glad you're with mom! I remember Aedan being 2 weeks old and every evening he would scream for an hour or two (we called it the Arsenic Hour). Mom came to visit then and would just hold him; she had the touch! He would quiet down fast. Maybe she could hold you a bit, too!
And no way she used a Computer!
