Our first day...

Hola Family and Friends,

We arrived in Guatemala City yesterday to get Mia and travel to Antigua. When we arrived at the hotel Mia´s birth mother was there to give us a gift for Mia and meet us. It was the best experience we could ask for. We took many pictures that I know Mia will appreciate when she is older. Her birth mother is really a special person and we are both happy we had the chance to meet her. Mia´s foster mother has had Mia since she was 1 day old. We (birth mom, foster mom, Dennis, and me) all cried in the middle of the lobby. We all laughed after we realized how crazy we must have looked!
We had lunch together and then left for Antigua. The apartment is very nice and I´ve met a few other mothers fostering as well. Mia is a love! She is very funny and loves to stick out her tongue and blow bubbles. I can´t wait for everyone to meet her. The rooster woke us at 5:30am...yes, I did say rooster...

Calling all mothers. I need help.
How much pedialite and tylenol do I give her if she is 16 lbs? She has been a little sick since she received her vaccines and the foster mother told me to give her pedialite and tylenol. The directions for both say to consult the doctor. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I´ll write again soon. So far, this is the best decision I´ve ever made. I´m totally out of my comfort zone (no air conditioning or lattes :) but it is a good change for now. Dennis says hello!
